Second Annual Nature and Health Symposium
Join us for a day of learning, networking, and connecting at the Second Annual Nature and Health Symposium! This event will feature pilot grant presentations from four of our recipients, a keynote, and a guided nature walk.
Keynote Speaker: Nikki Smith: Nikki Smith is a Salt Lake City-based artist, writer, photographer, climber, and guidebook author. A seasoned outdoor enthusiast, she has been active in the climbing community since the early '90s, with her work in the outdoor industry beginning in 1998. Nikki's photography has been featured in numerous publications, including National Geographic Adventure, and she has authored five climbing guidebooks. With over 150 first ascents across the West and global climbing expeditions, Nikki is also an athlete for brands like Brooks Running, REI, and Mountain Hardwear. As an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, her current focus is on fostering a more inclusive and diverse outdoor environment.

Experience a guided walk along the Jordan River Trail, including a tour of the Tracy Aviary’s Jordan River Nature Center.
